Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
II Corinthians 9:7
Giving to the Lord
Tithing and offering gifts are two of the many ways to serve the Lord. Here at Lititz United Methodist Church, we offer various means to give back to God. One way is through our Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). An EFT can be an easy way of giving that fits a busy lifestyle.
When you set up an EFT, your gift is automatically withdrawn from your checking account or savings account on a weekly or bimonthly schedule. You can designate where the money goes: to the General Fund, the Building fund, or the Re-Imagine Campaign. The attached authorization form provides all of the details for enrolling in EFT. Complete the form and return it to the church office to begin your EFT offering.
Your faithful giving will keep LUMC active in many mission projects. What a blessing it is to be able to serve in this way. If you have additional questions, please contact the Church office.
Throughout our history, Lititz UMC has been active in helping our friends and neighbors. Whether the need was here in Lititz or around the world, the people of our church have reached out in Christ’s love. We have set our hearts on being a missional church and have pursued that purpose with great zeal.
Since the completion of our expanded building in 2004, we have been able to serve our community by hosting programs and ministries, such as: Head Start pre-school; Warwick Released Time; Lancaster County Department of Aging Senior Center; Alcoholics Anonymous; Weight Watchers; the Open Door Clothing Bank and backpack giveaway; several community musical groups; and many more.
We have asked each and every household in our church family to consider prayerfully and commit to future ministries of our church and to expanding our impact locally and globally for the Gospel. We believe God is calling us to leverage all of our resources so that we don’t miss this opportunity to proclaim the Gospel to an entire generation.
Our four purposes for “Re-Imagining What God Will Do With Our Future”
To honor God with a radical spirit of sacrifice and generosity.
To retire our existing debt.
To free up more resources for ministry and missions.
To give every member of the LUMC family a reason and a chance to participate.
