Iron Sharpens Iron: Lititz UMC Youth Group

Our Mission

Jesus Christ is at the center of it all, and our goal is to point others toward Him. A place for you to belong, believe, and become.

About our Youth Ministries

At Lititz UMC, we strive to keep a four-cornered, balanced approach to youth ministry, incorporating fun, worship, spiritual growth, and service.

Our youth ministry is offered to any students in grades 7 through 12. We have weekly gatherings and monthly fellowship outings for spiritual retreat weekends and mission projects, Bible study, movie nights, youth praise band, community and social events, and so on. Our goal is for each youth to develop a close and deeply personal relationship with God, to be actively involved in the community, and to have a good time doing it. It is our desire to raise up courageous, unashamed, and passionate young leaders: inspiring them to grow in their relationship with God, reach out to their friends, and live for a cause greater than themselves.

Get Connected With Us

Youth Group

If you have an interest in getting connected, we meet during school months on Sunday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the youth room, located in the lower level of our church. Access doors are around the back of the church. Special events and activities are offered during the summer months.

Each year, every youth is asked to complete a Getting to Know You sheet. It provides a way for us to connect with what is deep inside the hearts of them all, in addition to who they are. It also brings value to the topics of discussion during youth group sessions. Bring one along if it’s your first time attending for the year.

Have questions or want more information about Youth Group at LUMC? Please reach out by sending us an email using the contact form at the end of this page, or contact one of the youth leaders directly.

Youth Praise Band

God created us to be instruments with the ability to sing and make music. For those interested in playing or singing modern worship music, LUMC has a youth praise band led by Eric Fisher, our contemporary worship leader. Practices are held on Sunday evenings from 5:00 to 6:00 PM in the youth room. Generally, the youth praise band will lead a 10:30 AM contemporary service on Sunday mornings once each month and occasionally play at special events.

Sunday School and Church Services

On Sunday mornings, students in grades six through eight may meet for Sunday School during the contemporary service at 10:30 AM. They meet at the chapel on the main floor of our church. Please stop by the Welcome Desk for assistance if needed. Ninth through twelfth grade youth meet with the rest of the church family for worship. Meet at the front of the sanctuary to sit together as we keep the tradition going here at LUMC. Our vision for the students is that they realize their role in the church and get involved through serving and participating. Youth are vital to the church!
