Below, you will find information about some of the many outreach areas and missions we have at Lititz UMC. We work with projects locally, regionally, nationally, and globally to impact both Christians and non-believers across the world.
In the late 1990s, Christian believers in the village of Musese, Kenya, had no place for fellowship. Through the cooperation and participation of many members of Lititz UMC and other local churches, we have helped to bring food, fresh water, income, education, and the voice of Christ to this village.
Appalachia Service Project is a Christian ministry, open to all people, that inspires hope and service through volunteer home repair and replacement in Central Appalachia. Lititz UMC has been participating in this mission annually for more than thirty years.
Visiting with those who are homebound is a blessing for the resident as well as the visitor! Our Parish Visitor ministry offers caring, regular contact with those of our congregation and community who are otherwise separated from the congregation because of age, illness, disability, or residence in a nursing facility.
Open to local community members in need of new and like-new clothing.
Spiritual community, discipleship, and mission are better accomplished through missional small groups—and we are a church of small groups.
We have a variety of groups within our church community. These range from adult Sunday schools, home fellowship groups, Bible studies, and affinity / special interest groups. We periodically offer short series for those that are interested in starting or re-starting their faith journey.
If you are interested in more information about any of these groups, please email our Small Group Ministries leaders @ smallgroups@lititzumc.org.
